Edith Matthews
Edith Matthews, Finance Officer
Edith Matthews has a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management from the University of Mobile, a Master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Troy State, and a Master’s degree in Accounting and Financial Management (MAFM) from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University.  She is also a certified notary signing agent through the National Notary Association.

Edith has over 29 years’ experience as an Accountant. For over 10 years she has been exclusively working with nonprofit and government organizations. As the Director of Finance for nonprofits she has had the responsibility of overseeing the accounting department staff, organizational budgets, grant budgets, grant affidavits, cost allocation plans, account reconciliations, financial statements preparation, and preparation of audit schedules.

Currently at the Shawnee County Health Agency Edith is responsible for a $6 million budget, the Business Office, the Purchasing/Payroll Office, and the Finance Office. .
