Linda Ochs

Educational and Work History:

In 1979 Linda graduated from Kansas State University with dual degrees in Social Work and Family Life and Human Development.  She began her career working in a residential facility for developmentally disabled adults followed by a two-year period of serving as a chemical dependency counselor.   In 1990 she began her public health career with the Salina/Saline County Health Department as the Maternal and Infant Care Social Worker. In 1995 she became the program coordinator of Heartland Healthy Families, a collaborative program with Heartland Programs Early Head Start and the Salina/Saline County Health Department.   

Linda completed a Master of Social Work degree in 2001 at Washburn University.  One week after graduating she joined the staff of the Shawnee County Health Agency, working as a Social Worker, Team Leader, and Family Services Division Manager, her present position.  She currently oversees WIC and Immunizations.
